Ecological issues as well as economical issues have drawn a cross hair on charterflights in recent news events. If you don’t believe that jetting of to location would be more
cost effective then saying renting a car to your destination, make
the appropriate choice. Don’t’ fool yourself in believing they are
all bad, charterflights are a wonderfully efficient way to travel.
As stated before, you can utilize your in flight travel time more
efficiently, you can make less unnecessary stops and avoid
layovers, and again, have some control over how your baggage is
handled. So regardless on your personal or political views on
carbon footprints and fuel economy there are pros and cons to all
travel methods, automobiles, trains, and busses all come with their
own set of concerns regarding smog, fuel economy, and safety. So
the only thing you can really do is find a way of making peace with
your need or reason for travel and make the decision that is right
for you.
